| Remarks | No plant-parasitic nematodes found. In absence of nematodes, plants were examined by D. Scott and J. McGrew for fungal diseases. Plants grown at sea level in NW corner of Dom. Rep., near Haiti. Marl soil, pH 7.4, sandy clay, low rainfall. Land out of use 2-3 yrs, had been tomatoes. Using furrow irrigation on plants in double hill system. Plants flown in from Florida, planted in mid November under plastic. Probably Fla. 90. |
