| Remarks | Originally identified as X. americanum, but on 7/18/90 changed identification to Xiphinema n.sp. per letter of 10/2/89. Not unusual for one species to replace another one, either permanently or temporarily. Depends on host, weather, season of year, etc. Reluctant to accept normal variation in americanum to account for this and other 2 specimens. |
