| Remarks | Midge larvae live in the deep benthic region of the lake. Site of infection: hemocoel of fourth-instar host larva. Specimens fixed in TAF, stored in 2 parts glycerol to 3 parts 70% EtOH. To view specimens, pour contents in a small, lint-free finger bowl. To mount on slides, allow some solution to evaporate overnight. |
